[233] ὁδὸν ἔρχεται: Martial iv. 55. 23 et sanctum Buradonis ilicetum

per quod vel piger ambulat viator has a verbal similarity (ambulat=“ὁδὸν ἔρχεται”); but there the reason for walking is obscure; Martial may refer to the beauty of the scenery or the sanctity of the grove.
