Tmolus

Τμῶλος).
1.
The god of Mount Tmolus in Lydia is described as the husband of Pluto, the daughter of
Himantes, (or Omphalé) and father of Tantalus, and is said to have decided the
musical contest between Apollo and Pan.
2.
Now Dagh, a celebrated mountain of Asia Minor, running east and west through the centre of
Lydia, and dividing the plain of the Hermus on the north from that of the Caÿster on
the south.
