63. Of GAZA, a Greek writer (grammaticus), of whose date nothing is known, except that he lived after the time of the Christian poet Nonnus [NONNUS], who may be placed in or just before the reign of Justinian I. John of Gaza appears to have imitated the style of Nonnus.
