Pausilypus Mons

Now Posilipo; a ridge in the rear of Naples, forming a barrier between Neapolis and Puteoli. It was pierced by a tunnel called the Crypta Neapolitana, now the Grotta di Posilipo, 2244 feet in length, 21 feet broad, and with a maximum height of 70 feet.
