Alexander Aegus
The son of Alexander the Great and Roxana, born shortly after the death of his father, in
B.C. 323, and acknowledged as the partner of Philip Arrhidaeus in the
Empire, under the guardianship of Perdiccas, Antipater, and Polysperchon, in succession.
Alexander and his mother, Roxana, were imprisoned by Cassander when he obtained possession of
Macedonia in 316, and remained in prison till 311, when they were put to death by Cassander.
