δ᾽ οὖν—resumes from c. 56. καλὸν ἀγώνισμα . . . εἶναι—cf. c. 56.2; 86. ἐπὶ—as a consequence of. ἑλεῖν τε τὸ ς.—to capture the whole of that vast army, στρατόπεδον being the besicging force wherever it was stationed. μηδὲ καθ᾽ ἕτερα = κατὰ μηδέτερα.
