MATILICA (Matélica) Umbria, Italy.

A municipium on the upper Aesis; under Rome it was inscribed in the tribus Cornelia. Little is known of it historically or archaeologically, and the site is still occupied by a thriving community. A few antiquities from the area are kept in the Museo Piersanti.
