Polygno'tus

4. In the temple of Athena Areia at Plataeae, Polygnotus and Onatas painted the walls of the front portico (that is, probably, the wall on each side of the principal entrance); Polygnotus represented Ulysses just after he had slain the suitors. (Paus. 9.4.1; Hom. Od. xxii.)
