A brave and warlike people in Gallia Transpadana, in the valley of the Duria (Val d'Aosta), at the foot of the Graian and Pennine Alps, whom some regarded as a branch of the Salyes or Salluvii, in Gaul. Their chief town was Augusta Praetoria (Aosta).
