CALAGURRIS CONVENARUM
(Saint-Martory)
Haute-Garonne, France.
The modern site covers
the ancient center of Calagurris Convenarum, located on
the Garonne beside the Roman road from Toulouse to
Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges and Dax. Besides the
abundant remains of dwellings, the more important discoveries include a potter's kiln, a mausoleum, and the
remains of the bridge by which the Roman road crossed
the Garonne.
