Callatia'nus, Deme'trius

（Δημήτριος Καλλατιανός), the author of a geographical work on Europe and Asia (περὶ Εὐρώπης καὶ Ἀσίας) in twenty books, which is frequently referred to by the ancients. (D. L. 5.83; Steph. Byz. s. v. Ἀντικν́ρα; Strab. i. p.60; Dionys. de comp. Verb. 4; Lucian. Macrob. 10; Schol. ad Theocrit. 1.65, 10.19; Marcian. Heracl. passim.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
