MADMENAH

MADMENAH (Μαδεβηνά, LXX.), a town or village on the confines of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, mentioned only in Isaiah (10.31). It was obviously on or near the line of march of an invading army approaching Jerusalem from the north, by way of Michmash, and apparently between Anathoth and Jerusalem. It is confounded with Madmanna by Eusebius. (Onomast, s. v. Μηνεβηνά.)
