ALBI´NIA

ALBI´NIA a considerable river of Etruria, still called the Albegna, rising in the mountains at the back of Saturnia, and flowing into the sea between the Portus Telamonis and the remarkable promontory called Mons Argentarius. The name is found only in the Tabula; but the ALMINIA or ALMILNA of the Maritime Itinerary (p. 500) is evidently the same river.
