Astraea

Ἀστραία). The daughter of Zeus and Themis, and goddess of justice, who lived during the Golden Age among men; but when the wickedness of men increased she withdrew to heaven, and was placed among the stars under the name of Virgo. Her sister Pudicitia (Αἰδώς) left the earth along with her (Poet. Astr. ii. 25).
