Astraea
(
Ἀστραία). The daughter of Zeus and Themis, and goddess
of justice, who lived during the Golden Age among men; but when the wickedness of men
increased she withdrew to heaven, and was placed among the stars under the name of Virgo. Her
sister Pudicitia (
Αἰδώς) left the earth along with her
