Amphitryon

or Amphitruo (Ἀμφιτρύων). Son of Alcaeus and Hipponomé, husband of Alcmené, and nominally father of Heracles, who is hence called Amphitryoniades. (See Alcmené.) Amphitryon was slain in a war against Erginus, king of the Minyans.
