ARCIDAVA
(Vărădia) Caraş Severin, Romania.
Roman camp and civil settlement on the left bank of
Caraş river, on the main strategic and commercial road
Lederata-Tibiscum, linking the Danube with the capital
of Roman Dacia. The camp (174 x 154 m) was built
of stone. Cohors I Vindelicorum was stationed here. In
the civil settlement traces were discovered of a building
with several rooms and a bath.
