The Athenians thought that they must take this as a first step to concord, whereas in the other states those who have set up democracy not only do not pay any more out of their own property but even make a redistribution of the land. They also made a reconciliation with those that had settled at Eleusis two years after the migration, in the archonship of Xenaenetus.
