Chloe

Χλόη), the blooming, a surname of Demeter the protectress of the green fields, who had a sanctuary at Athens conjointly with Ge Curotrophos. (

This surname is probably alluded to when Sophocles (
Oed. Col. 1600) calls her
Δημήτηρ εῦΧλοος. (Comp.
