Joannes DRUNGARIUS
53. DRUNGARIUS, or DRUNGARIAS, or of DRUNGARIA Montfaucon gives the name
Ἰωάννης τῆς Δρουγγαρίας, and expressly observes that it is so in the MS.), a contemporary of Cyril of Alexandria [CYRILLUS], and probably one of his clergy.
At the instigation of Cyril he undertook a commentary on Isaiah, which is extant in MS. The
