STEPHANAPHANA

STEPHANAPHANA more correctly, perhaps, Stephani Fanum, a place in Illyris Graeca, on the Via Egnatia (Itin. Hieros. p. 608). It was the castle of St. Stephen (τοῦ ἁλίου Στεφάνου), repaired by Justinian. (Procop. de Aed. 4.4.) Lapie places it on the river Boscovitza.
