HYPSU´S
HYPSU´S (
Ὑψοῦς,--οῦντος), a town of Arcadia, in the district Cynuria, situated upon a mountain of the same name, said to have been founded by Hypsus, a son of Lycaon.
It is placed by the French Commission at
Stemnítza. (
