CYON (
Κύον: Eth.
Κυΐτης), a city of Caria. Stephanus (s. v.) cites the Carica of Apollonius, and adds that it was once called Canebium. Cramer (
Asia Minor, vol. ii. p. 216) observes that there are autonomous coins of Cyon, with the epigraph
Κυ. Κυι. Κυιτων. [
