RAGAU
RAGAU (
Ῥαγαῦ, Isidor. Stathm. Parth. § 13), a town mentioned by Isidorus in the district of Parthia called Apavarctene.
It is probably the same place as the Ragaea of Ptolemy (
Ῥαγαία, 6.5.4).
It is not clear whether there exist at present any remains of this town, but it must have been situated to the E. of
Nishápur, between that town and
Herát. [
