Scombraria

Now Islote; an island on the southeastern coast of Spain off Carthago Nova (Carthagena). It got its name from the mackerel (scombri) caught near by, from which the Romans prepared a sort of fish sauce (garum) resembling caviare (Strabo, p. 159).
