I.a town in Corcyra, now Cassopo or Cassiope, Cic. Fam. 16, 9, 1; Suet. Ner. 22; Plin. 4, 12, 19, § 52.—Called Cassĭŏpa , ae, f., Gell. 19, 1, 1.—Hence, Cassĭŏpĭcus , a, um, of Cassiope: “filix,Plin. 27, 9, 55, § 80.
