2.c. gen. responsible for, ὑπ. ἀρχῆς ἑτέρας ap. Dem.; of slaves, σῶμα ὑπ. ἀδικημάτων their body is liable for their misdeeds, i. e. they must pay for them with their body, id=Dem.
