A.overseer of temples and sacred rites, title of magistrates at Athens and elsewhere, IG12.5, al., D.4.26, Arist.Pol.1322b24, Ath.54.6, Decr.ib.30.2, IG12(8).264 (Thasos, iv B.C.), SIG410 (Erythrae, iii B.C.), Inscr.Prien.14.25 (iii B.C.), etc.; ἱεροποιοὶ τῶν σεμνῶν θεῶν were different, D.21.115, Din.Fr.8.1.
