b. of things, κυρεῖν τινι befall or be granted to him, S.OC1290, Tr. 291, E.Hec.215 (lyr.); also εἰς τι κύρει ἕκαστα 'which way the wind blows', Timo. 48.5.
2. to be right, hit the mark, γνώμῃ κυρήσας by intelligence, S.OT398: c. part., τόδ᾽ ἂν λέγων κυρήσαις in saying, A.Supp. 589 (lyr.); ἐπεικάζων κυρῶ; S.El.663.
b. to be successful, prosper, Democr.243.
